Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Paramount, CA. This role offers 40 hours weekly, day shifts, and the opportunity to impact patients across diverse settings within a supportive team.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders, designing individualized therapy plans, documenting progress, educating families, and collaborating with interdisciplinary staff.

Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of California
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Master’s Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Experience in Speech Language Pathology preferred; new grads welcome

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders across diverse populations
• Design personalized therapy plans based on evaluations and goals
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercises
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care
• Maintain safe treatment environments and adhere to infection control standards
• Engage in ongoing professional development and QA initiatives
• Perform additional duties within scope of practice
