Job summary

Powerback is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to travel nationwide for 13-week assignments, delivering speech-language pathology services in diverse settings and ensuring high-quality patient care across facilities and home-based environments.

You will supervise CFYs and students, coordinate care with the rehabilitation team, and document services according to plan of care. A master’s degree in SLP and ASHA credentials are required, with mentorship and CEU opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• They must possess a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CFYs, temporary licensees, students and support personnel in accordance with licensure requirements and professional standards.
• Deliver rehab services per plan of care with timely documentation and adherence to schedules.
• Attend patient care conferences and other related meetings; coordinate referrals to address comprehensive patient needs.
• Consult with rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens for each patient.
• Adapt plan of care to individual patient needs; promote safety and maintain equipment.
• Screen, evaluate, and reexamine patients; develop goals and methods for therapy and measure progress.
• Coordinate acquisition of adaptive communication devices and instruct patients in their use.
• Identify hearing deficits and refer for assessment and rehabilitation as needed.
