Job summary

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Farmington, NM. The role is 13 weeks long, 36 hours per week, with 9-hour day shifts.

Travel positions require ASHA-SLP certification, BLS, and valid state licensing, with a preference for 1 year of experience but 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates. The SLP will diagnose, treat, and educate patients, create individualized therapy plans, and maintain proper documentation while meeting state

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Farmington, NM. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
