Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Westland, Michigan. The role covers an acute care setting with 13 weeks duration and 35 hours per week, starting immediately.

The SLP will diagnose and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders, develop care plans, and educate patients and families, while meeting ASHA, BLS, and state licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Westland, MI. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. As an SLP, you will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.
