The Role

Speech-language pathologists evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders, working with patients, families and care teams. A skilled nursing facility cares for residents recovering after a hospital stay as well as long‑term residents, so plans of care range from short‑term rehab to keeping function.
