Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Special Education Teacher to provide services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a traveling capacity across schools in Jackson, CA. Role involves collaborating with the program administrator, planning individualized student programs and offering instructional support and consultation to general education staff.

Minimum requirements include state teaching certification and a bachelor’s degree; LBS1 endorsement preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Current CPR certification (if applicable).
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with the Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff in planning and implementing student programs.
• Offer special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation as needed.
