Description

We're looking for a Sonographer to work in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Oregon, United States.

Pay Rate: $48+ an hour, plus travel per diem.

As a Travel Sonographer, you'll work for some of the best healthcare companies across the US. Contracts last from 12 weeks up to a year.

Role:

The successful candidates will function as Sonographers performing a variety of technical procedures serving patients from infants to adult geriatrics.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform diagnostic general imaging ultrasound examinations following AIUM and ACR guidelines.
  2. Locate and image internal body elements, including blood vessels and organs, and identify anomalies.
  3. Provide a range of diagnostic exams including breast, abdominal, small parts, and OB/GYN.
  4. Ensure patient safety and monitor for physical or emotional changes.
  5. Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
  6. Review patient case studies with peers and physicians.
  7. Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested.
  8. Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
  9. Prepare diagnostic information for interpretation.
  10. Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data, and update records.
  11. Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
  12. Recognize equipment malfunctions and request repairs.
  13. Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
  14. Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies.
  15. Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedures.
  16. Maintain technical competency through continued education.
  17. Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems.
  18. Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  19. Perform additional duties as required.
