Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) for a 13-week travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. The role involves high‑frequency imaging for echo/vascular studies, patient prep, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary clinical team to deliver quality diagnostic care.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited Ultrasound Technology program, 1+ year experience, BLS, and valid state licensure, with ARDMS/CCI credentials preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
• Minimum of one year of recent ultrasound experience.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology knowledge.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate imaging into patient care.
• Prepare and position patients for accurate imaging and comfort.
• Perform general and vascular diagnostic sonography examinations.
• Evaluate image quality for clarity and accuracy.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment for safety and uptime.
• Apply technical expertise to perform procedures efficiently.
• Maintain patient records and documentation per regulatory standards.
