Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Cumming, GA. The SLP will diagnose and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders, develop therapy plans, and educate patients and families.

Requires 1 year of experience (6 months may be acceptable for exceptional candidates) with BLS and ASHA-SLP certification and state licensing. Responsibilities include screenings, documentation per guidelines, and collaboration with medical professionals to

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience; exceptional candidates with relevant background may be accepted with 6 months.
• BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• SLP must stand/walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create therapy plans to meet individualized patient needs.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress and current status per guidelines; document timely and accurately.
