Job summary

TotalMed Allied, a travel healthcare staffing leader, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Petoskey, MI. The SLP will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and implement therapy across acute care settings, collaborating closely with physicians and therapists.

The ideal candidate has ASHA-SLP certification, BLS, and state licensure, with a minimum of 6 months experience (1 year preferred).

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. 1 year preferred; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be accepted.
• Must have ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing and BLS.
• Candidates should have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit diverse patient needs.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to appropriate parties and medical professionals.
• Provide timely documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
