Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for an assignment in Athens, Texas. The role involves assessing and treating speech, language and swallowing disorders, with patient-focused goals and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or in process of licensure
• At least one year of professional working experience
• CPR certification
• Must have CCCs.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of referred patients requiring treatment for speech, hearing and language deficits
• Teach patients how to make sounds, improve voices, or increase oral/written language skills
• Teach strategies to strengthen swallowing and prevent choking
• Provide skilled speech therapy services as per physician orders
• Assess needs, plan, evaluate and modify care to meet therapy goals
• Set realistic goals for communication and swallowing to support education, vocation and social roles
