Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for an acute care travel assignment in Lodi, California. The role runs for 13 weeks with guaranteed hours of 36 per week and a 5x8 schedule (8:00 AM–4:30 PM).

The position requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, and CCC‑SLP, with BLS/CPR certification. Prior acute care and team-based experience is preferred. Start date is 09/25/2026.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
• CCC-SLP credential is required.
• BLS or CPR certification required.
• Two years of recent SLP experience preferred.
• Acute care hospital experience and interdisciplinary teamwork is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings; track patient outcomes.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Educate and direct support staff; supervise therapy assistants in accordance with national and state practice acts.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support patient goals and discharge planning.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal licensure, certification, and accrediting requirements.
