Job summary

Med Ninjas seeks a Travel Polysomnographer in Urbana, IL to provide comprehensive sleep study evaluation and testing. The Sleep Technologist will handle in-center and HSAT procedures, scoring, and patient education, with duties extending to data integrity and report generation.

The role requires RST and RPSGT credentials, ABSM/BRPT certifications, and AHA BLS, with 10-hour night shifts across a 40-hour work week. Travel assignment, ASAP start, 13 weeks.

Qualifications

• 1+ year Sleep Lab experience required.
• Experience with sleep/wake stage scoring and identification of clinical events.
• Proficiency with ancillary sleep testing such as oximetry, actigraphy, and HSAT.
• Knowledge of PAP equipment, fitting, desensitization, and patient education.
• Ability to perform and document sleep studies accurately.

Responsibilities

• Document patient arrival, interactions, consent, and testing procedures.
• Review orders, insurance, and prior authorization requirements.
• Review patient history to establish medical necessity.
• Perform PAP interface fitting and patient education.
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events.
• Generate accurate reports by tabulating data.
• Ensure high-quality recordings and data integrity.
• Maintain cleanliness and necessary supplies in Sleep Lab.
