MedAdventures is seeking a travel Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Plantation, Florida.

In this role, you’ll provide skilled SLP services — helping residents improve communication, cognition, and swallowing safety to enhance overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive SLP evaluations to assess speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing function.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving communication skills, cognitive-linguistic abilities, and safe swallowing.
  • Provide therapy services including language intervention, speech retraining, dysphagia management, cognitive therapy, and alternative communication strategies.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication techniques, swallowing precautions, and carryover exercises.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
  • Collaborate with PTs, OTs, nursing, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Florida SLP license and active state board registration.
  • Experience in skilled nursing, geriatrics, rehab, or post-acute care preferred — motivated new grads welcome!
  • Strong communication, time management, and clinical problem-solving skills.
  • A compassionate, resident-focused approach to therapy.
