Job summary

Preferred Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week SNF assignment in San Diego, CA. The position starts ASAP, runs for 13 weeks, with 40 hours per week and 8-hour shifts.

The SLP will assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders, follow ASHA guidelines, and document patient progress accurately while collaborating with facility staff to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active state license as a speech-language pathologist
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• 6 months of SLP experience within the last 5 years

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Identify indications and contraindications to treatment, modify treatment programs, and be familiar with normal and abnormal patient responses.
• Instruct patient/family as needed, adapt conventional speech therapy techniques to meet the needs of the patients.
• Document concisely, accurately, and legibly all appropriate charting and paperwork.
• Follow ASHA guidelines for ethical and high-quality job performance.
