Job summary

Jackson Therapy Partners is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a temporary assignment in Eureka, IL at a skilled nursing facility. The PTA will assist patients recovering from injury or illness with mobility, function and activities under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

This 13-week travel role offers 40 hours per week, day shifts, and support with housing options, licensing reimbursement and full medical benefits. Prior SNF experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Illinois PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Client requirement: ability to work 5 days per week with 35 guaranteed hours for the assignment period.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients recovering from injury or illness with mobility, function and activity under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Provide care in a skilled nursing facility setting during the assignment.
• Document patient progress and participate in care planning as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active Illinois PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Client requirement: ability to work 5 days per week with 35 guaranteed hours for the assignment period (client-specific scheduling expectation).
• Preferred: prior experience with geriatric populations, restorative nursing programs, and documentation in electronic medical records.
