Responsibilities of a COTA:

The Occupational Therapist Assistant helps Occupational Therapists in providing care to patients. Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, they provide exercise instructions, therapeutic methods such as electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, ultrasound, and gait and balance training. They record the patient's progress and responses to treatment and report outcomes to the Occupational Therapist.

Qualifications of a COTA:

• Licensed in the State of New York
• At least 1 year of experience in SNF
• Familiar with Rehab Optima and Net Health
