The SLP may supervise SLPA support and will participate in MET and IEP meetings, while ensuring regulatory compliance and documentation. The caseload and workload will reflect district needs and staffing levels.

Qualifications

• Develops treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to meet student objectives.
• Provides speech and language services to students with IEPs.
• Possible supervision of SLPAs with implementation of services in the classroom.
• Writes and attends MET and IEP meetings as the SLP service coordinator.
• Evaluates students in speech and language as determined by MET.

Responsibilities

• Implement communication goals identified on student IEPs.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and other personnel for service planning and referrals.
• Deliver services in a classroom integration model and supervise SLPA support as needed.
• Ensure paperwork compliance and accountability for growth in IEP goals.
• Participate in ongoing staff training and maintain regular attendance.
