Job summary

AMN Healthcare Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist to work in a DeKalb, IL school district, delivering PT services to students across ages. The role involves assessments, designing and implementing treatment plans, and educating students to reduce pain and restore function.

The position includes 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and a 13-week duration with travel benefits and housing support. Employment type is travel, with W-2 status and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).
• Active Physical Therapy (PT) license in IL.
• Clear, articulate communication skills.
• Ability to explain results to a varied audience.
• Candidates with previous school experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the district as a member of a collaborative team to help students restore and maintain their physical functions.
• Screen and evaluate students referred to Physical Therapy treatment.
• Appropriately collect data, report findings.
• Diagnose movement dysfunction and create personalized treatment plans to help patients reduce pain, improve movement, and restore function.
• Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards.
