Job summary

AMN Healthcare Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapist for a school setting in South Holland, IL. The OT will work 40 hours per week with 6-hour daytime shifts across a 36-week assignment, starting 09/21/2026.

The role involves supporting students with motor, sensory, and cognitive needs, collaborating with school staff, and providing data-driven therapy and documentation to meet district standards. Prior school experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be an Occupational Therapist with a degree from an accredited OT program.
• Active IL OT license and NBCOT certification required.
• Experience in school setting is a plus.
• Criminal background check completed and clear.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the district as a member of a collaborative team to help students achieve academic goals.
• Screen and evaluate students referred to Occupational Therapy.
• Adequately collect data and report findings.
• Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district/state standards.
• Provide training and resources for teachers and staff on strategies to improve participation.
• Communicate with teachers, district staff and families regarding student performance.
