The Job

The Maestro Performance Tour Specialist is a division of Kuoni Tumlare, a Destination Management Company, part of JTB Group, providing performance travel solutions and experiences that benefit our partners and society. We are a fun, inclusive team committed to internal talent development. The travel industry offers many exciting opportunities for growth and exploration.

Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize your sales skills to generate leisure group travel business through Kuoni Tumlare's extensive US network.
  2. Maintain close communication with local offices to ensure smooth operations.
  3. Research new travel products or activities for market promotion in coordination with destination offices.
  4. Participate in sales trips, workshops, and tradeshows.
  5. Organize familiarization (fam) trips and educational tours for clients.
  6. Manage marketing activities within the leisure travel market.
  7. Prepare sales reports and handle administrative tasks, including monitoring business profitability and revenue control using company systems (DOS & BIS).
  8. Follow up with active clients, seek new clients, and stay informed about market conditions and competitors to adapt products accordingly.
  9. Provide accurate and timely reports to management and respond swiftly to business needs.

Requirements

  • Degree in Tourism, Travel, or related field, or relevant qualifications.
  • Experience in developing leisure travel accounts and maintaining excellent client relationships.
  • Understanding of the travel industry and market trends is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PDF) and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage client expectations with high-quality service.
  • Collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50 days per year for sales trips, trade shows, and FAM trips.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in work and system entries.
