Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Traveling Safety Professional to coordinate and administer Site Safety Programs, ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role includes travel, company vehicle or allowance, and delivering safety leadership to ensure all employees return home healthy and safe each shift.

Responsibilities include incident investigations, safety meetings, daily inspections, hazard abatement, and driving safety training regionally.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction experience with on-site safety responsibilities
• Specialized safety training relevant to the scope of work
• OSHA 510-hour Construction Outreach Training or greater
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations and hazard control methods
• Ability to conduct safety training and lead safety meetings

Responsibilities

• Investigate incidents or near misses and report findings
• Attend and conduct safety meetings to instruct tradespersons on safety practices
• Conduct daily safety inspections to ensure safe work practices
• Coordinate timely abatement and control of hazards
• Lead or participate in incident investigations and emergency response
• Conduct site inspections and track corrective actions to closure
• Perform job safety analyses and maintain site safety documentation
• Coach and conduct safety training across the region
• Provide support as directed by Health & Safety Manager
