Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift role at a Level II Trauma Center in Spokane, WA. Must hold WA RRT license, with 1 year of experience and BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred. Night shift is 3x12 hours, 36 hours per week, travel assignment.

Open to travelers, with floating between units and no on-call requirement. Includes ventilator management, ED and pediatric experience preferred, and a teaching hospital setting is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must have active Washington state RRT license in hand at submission
• Minimum 1 year of RRT experience
• BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Proficient in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning
• Experience with airway management including extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Proficient in ABG interpretation and oxygen therapy
• Experience in Emergency Department and Pediatric settings preferred
• Skilled in trauma and rapid response situations

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care services including medication delivery, airway management, and pulmonary hygiene
• Support code response and rapid response teams as needed
• No parking fee at facility and work environment accommodates float between units
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered for a lower rate
• Travelers may float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
