Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift at a Level IV trauma center in California. The role requires NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credentials, CA RCP license, and 2+ years of recent critical care experience.

The position offers night hours (3x12s), no on-call, competitive pay with bonuses, and benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and travel/licensure reimbursements. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credential required.
• RCP license required in CA, if applicable.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Candidates must not have any prior adverse licensure actions.

Responsibilities

• Acute care medical center with Level IV trauma center and Level II intensive care nursery services.
• Provides respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s with no set days of the week, 1700-0530.
• No call requirements.
• Performs basic and critical respiratory care services with ability to work independently and provide delegated supervision.
• Administers aerosol and oxygen therapy and maintains patient charts.
• Draws arterial blood gases per policy and physician order.
• Provides ventilator management for patients.
• Assists with department recordkeeping and participates in training and supervision of new employees.
• Completes documentation in electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient.
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions.
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered.
• Candidates can only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time.
