Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment in Minneapolis, MN. The role features a night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 36 hours per week, start date in November 2026, and a 20-week length with 4 openings.

Ideal candidates have ECMO experience in an adult critical care setting, ARDS/ECMO patient care, and proficiency with airway management, ventilator support, and Epic/Excellian charting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience
• 1 year of ECMO Specialist experience
• State license required or active at start
• Pending license accepted but must be active at start
• Adult Critical Care setting experience required
• Airway management devices experience including ET tube/suctioning, extubation, intubation assist
• Oxygen therapy delivery including HFNC, bag and mask, trach collar
• Arterial puncture and ABG drawing/interpretation
• Ventilator management including BiPAP/CPAP/SIMV
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year ECMO Specialist experience

Responsibilities

• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 1830-0700
• Care for adult Critical Care patients including ECMO
• Float within hospital or to affiliate as needed
• No on-call requirement
• Chest physiotherapy and airway management as part of respiratory care
• Actively use Epic/Excellian for charting
