Job summary

Healthforce is actively hiring travel nurses for a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) role in Pittsfield, MA. The assignment runs for weeks with a 7:00 AM–5:30 PM schedule; on-call as needed and float to the main operating room.

Starting 09/21/2026, this travel opportunity offers weekly pay in the mid 3k range and housing/travel support with 24/7 recruiter assistance. The setting is a hospital operating room, with dedicated credentialing and nationwide opportunities.

Qualifications

Active MA RN license in hand or conditional MA license accepted.
CNOR, ACLS and BLS certifications current.
Minimum 3+ years RNFA experience; at least 1 year in related specialties preferred.
COVID-19 vaccination with booster; boosters current.
Local radius within 50 miles of assignment location.

Responsibilities

Provide RN First Assist support during operative cases under surgeon direction.
Maintain sterile technique and assist with exposure, dissection, tissue handling, and hemostasis.
Facilitate instrument handling, suction, retractors and other intraoperative needs.
Collaborate with circulating nurse for patient safety and intraoperative documentation.
Support preoperative planning and postoperative communication; participate in handoffs and debriefs.
