Qualifications

• IN/compact RN license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• HWC certification or credential may be preferred.
• 1+ year utilization review in an acute hospital setting is required.
• UR experience in psychiatric facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates clinical records to determine medical necessity for inpatient behavioral health services.
• Coordinates with providers and payers for authorization and continued stay reviews.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory, quality, and reimbursement requirements.
