Job summary

AMN Healthcare in Lafayette, IN seeks an RN Utilization Review to evaluate patients' clinical records to determine medical necessity and appropriateness of inpatient behavioral health services. You will coordinate with providers and payers for authorization and continued stay reviews, and help ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and reimbursement requirements.

The assignment is 13 weeks, with an 8:00 am–4:30 pm shift; IN/compact RN license, Bachelor's degree, BLS, HWC, and 1+ year UR

Qualifications

• Active IN/compact RN license required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• BLS certification required.
• HWC certification required or preferred.
• 1+ year UR experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Psychiatric UR experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY - RN Utilization Review

POSITION DUTIES - Evaluates patients' clinical records to determine the medical necessity and appropriateness of inpatient behavioral health services, coordinates with providers and payers for authorization and continued stay reviews, and helps ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and reimbursement requirements.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• IN/compact RN license
• Bachelor's degree
• BLS
• HWC
• 1+ year recent utilization review experience in an acute hospital setting
• Previous utilization review experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred
