Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiothoracic Stepdown night shift position requiring extensive experience with surgical and telemetry patient populations.

Details

• Work in the Cardiothoracic Stepdown unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes post open heart, heart transplant, LVAD, leg bypass, rib resection, and pneumonectomy cases
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• 13-week assignment length, with longer 13-16 week contracts available for September starts

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Extensive experience with surgical patient population and telemetry required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale certification may be required depending on unit group assignment

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry and post-surgical nursing care to a cardiothoracic patient population
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
• Radius rule applies allowing local candidates to be considered, though at a reduced rate depending on facility location
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
