Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Telemetry position requiring WI or compact RN license and prior telemetry, vent, and transplant experience.

Details

• Work across two IMC units: Acute Med/Progressive Care (D6/5) and Thoracic (B4/3)
• Cardiac, oncology, and telemetry/PCU/DOU/stepdown patient population
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00pm-7:30am, Monday through Friday
• Every other weekend required with some holiday coverage
• Uses Epic charting system
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in telemetry/oncology/cardiac/PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown specialty
• Epic EMR experience required, ideally within the past 12 months
• Vent and transplant experience required
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Experience with central/arterial/PICC line management, blood product administration, and IV therapy
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management, and ABG interpretation
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiac and thoracic telemetry environment
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• References are not required for consideration
• Located at a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital
