Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a 13-week assignment in Olathe, KS. Night shifts (12 hours) with a 36-hour workweek, EPIC EMR in use, and no on-call requirements. Licensure and BLS are required, with 1+ year telemetry experience preferred.

• Participate in holiday coverage as required.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring KS or compact RN license and prior cardiac drip experience.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry Unit (4N) in a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts, 1900-0730, three days per week
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Floating required to all acute care units
• No on-call requirements
• EPIC EMR currently in use

Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry experience required
• Experience with TR Bands straight from procedure required
• Experience with cardiac drips (Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem) required
• Experience with Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process required
• 2-5 years of Telemetry experience preferred
• Not accepting new graduates

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care with cardiac monitoring and management of cardiac drips
• Facility is a nicotine-free campus
• Holiday coverage required, working one holiday from each of three groups: Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
• Orientation includes onsite sessions at multiple campuses and virtual Epic training
• CBC, drug screen, and lab work must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Local and travel candidates accepted at the same bill rate
