Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a Direct Observation Unit in Charleston, South Carolina. This six-bay, 23-hour observation unit is part of a surgery center and runs a 3x12 night shift schedule (6:00 PM–6:30 AM), Monday through Thursday. An SC or compact RN license is required to apply.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only).
• Experience with observation or surgical short stay units preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a six-bay 23-hour observation unit inside a surgery center PACU within a large clinic.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12s, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Monday through Thursday with no Fridays, weekends, or holiday shifts.
• Patient ratio: maximum 1:6, typically 1:3.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR nurses in a fast-paced environment.
