Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Amarillo, Texas.

As a Step-Down RN, you will assess patients, develop and modify plans of care, document outcomes, and provide patient and family education. This role requires an active RN license, a degree from an accredited program, BLS, and 18 months of acute care PCU/Step-down experience. Travel assignments include benefits and housing options.

Qualifications

• Active RN License.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS certifications.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step-down setting.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms; utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data; documents nursing diagnoses.
• Documents the plan of care with nursing diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions.
• Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
• Revises and documents the plan of care based on evaluation and changes in medical plan.
