Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Kearney, Nebraska. RN will provide advanced patient care in a Step Down Unit with a focus on cardiac, vascular, renal and post-procedure recovery, typically during night shifts.

The role requires ACLS, NIHSS, and an active RN license with a minimum of 2 years in acute or step-down care. Candidates must be able to titrate drips and interpret telemetry, with equipment such as vents, CPAP/BiPAP, and high-flow

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• 2+ years in acute care or step-down/CCU setting.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Proficient with arterial lines and titratable drips (Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin).
• Ability to interpret telemetry and manage critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced patient care in Step-Down unit (census ~24 across 40 beds).
• Handle adult patients with sepsis, stroke, post-stent, post-pacemaker care.
• Work 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM–6:30 AM), 48 hours/week.
• Float across units including ICU or MedSurg as needed.
