Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel RN for the PCU (Progressive Care Unit) in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The role is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts, and a focus on telemetry and cardiac care.

Must have one year of Stepdown RN experience, Wisconsin RN license, plus BLS and ACLS certifications. PCCN and NIHSS are preferred. Excellent compensation and benefits are offered through Fusion Medical Staffing.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience
• Current RN license in Wisconsin
• BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vitals, telemetry data and respond to abnormalities
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments with focus on cardiac care
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac procedures
• Maintain patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients
• Document patient conditions and notify supervisor of status
• Respond to life-threatening situations per cardiac protocols
• Document nursing history and physical assessments
• Educate patients on cardiac health, risk factors and lifestyle changes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care
• Maintain patient and client confidentiality
• Perform other duties within scope of practice
• Follow hospital safety, infection control and regulatory standards
