Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a short stay travel assignment in Templeton, CA. This 8-week contract requires 40 hours per week on a 3x12-hour shift, with Epic EHR experience and California RN licensure. Start date is 08/17/2026.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Epic EHR experience.
• At least two years of RN experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for short-stay adult and/or pediatric patients, including assessments, monitoring, and timely interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, document responses, and identify adverse effects or complications.
• Perform ongoing rounds, update care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and discharge planning.
• Document nursing care in the electronic health record (Epic) and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team.
• Implement and uphold infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and quality of care measures.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions.
