Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Radiology for a travel nursing job in Tucson, Arizona. The role requires 13 weeks of coverage, 40 hours per week, and a 10-hour day shift.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of radiology RN experience, a current BLS certification, and ARRT (T) national certification; state licensure may be required. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session.
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Use imaging technology (e.g., CT, X-ray) to guide accurate treatment delivery.
• Document treatment details and maintain patient records.
• Communicate with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment.
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment.
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols for patients and staff.
