Job summary

Cross Country Nurses in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a travel RN Preoperative to provide nursing care before surgery. The role includes patient assessment, preparation, and education, with rotating 8-hour shifts and a 40-hour week.

The position requires preoperative or PACU experience, Iowa or compact-state licensure, BLS, EPIC EMR experience, and references within 24 months. Travel assignment with potential housing support is offered.

Qualifications

• 12 months of pre/post-op or PACU experience in the past 15 months.
• Iowa state license or compact/multi-state license.
• Current BLS certification from AHA.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system.
• Experience with pediatric care is a plus.
• Professional reference/check within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative nursing care, patient assessment, preparation and education prior to surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure smooth patient flow and safety.
• Support postoperative care and Phase II tasks as needed.
