Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN for PreOp/PACU in Antigo, Wisconsin for a 13-week assignment. You will provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery while adhering to safety standards and collaborating with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent Pre/Post-Op RN experience.
• Current RN license in compliance with Wisconsin regulations.
• Active BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients pre-operatively, review medical history, and identify potential risks.
• Prepare patients for surgery and educate on procedures and post-operative care.
• Assess post-anesthesia condition and conduct comprehensive evaluations.
• Monitor post-operative recovery and manage pain and comfort.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocols.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and recovery progress.
• Collaborate with the surgical team for comprehensive pre- and post-operative care.
• Deliver patient and family education including discharge instructions.
