Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pre/Post-Op travel assignment in Iowa. Requires Iowa or compact RN license, BLS, and 24 months of pre/post-op or related experience, with TEE and cardioversion skills.

The role features a day shift, 5x8 hour shifts, no weekends or on-call, and includes housing and licensure reimbursements as part of benefits. Epic EMR familiarity is required.

Qualifications

• Active IA or Compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 24 months of experience in pre/post op, PACU, or cardiac/cardiology setting required.
• TEE experience required.
• Cardioversion experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Driver's license required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Pre/Post-Op unit with 2 procedure beds and 3 pre/post bays.
• Non-invasive cardiology procedures including TEE, cardioversions, stress testing, and pre/post procedural care.
• Patient ratio of 1:3.
• Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts, starting 7/7:30a and ending around 1630/1700.
• No weekend requirements.
• No on-call requirements.
• May float to Cardiac & Vascular Holding.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Provide pre/post-op nursing care for patients undergoing non-invasive cardiology procedures.
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Holiday coverage required for 1-2 of 3 upcoming holidays unless the unit is closed.
• Past UPH employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at other UPH facilities or markets if employed within the past 12 months
