Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Pediatric OR travel nurse for a 14-week assignment in San Francisco, CA. The role is on a 10-hour day shift, 40 hours per week, in a hospital operating room setting.

Required are BLS and PALS certifications and 2 years of acute care experience. Duties include patient positioning and OR care, ensuring paperwork is complete, monitoring anesthesia-related status, and staying with the patient until anesthesia is induced.

Qualifications

• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric OR or acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving and positioning of patient in the OR.
• Manage patient care in the OR according to hospital policy.
• Ensure all patient paperwork is completed prior to procedure.
• Monitor for signs of impaired gas exchange related to anesthesia.
• Remain at the patient's side until anesthesia is induced.
