Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The position supports a 12-hour day shift with 36 hours per week in a Progressive Care Unit.

The traveler will work as a Stepdown RN, providing care to patients moving from ICU to general wards, with collaboration from a multidisciplinary team. Start date is 10/19/2026 and embodies competitive pay and robust benefits for traveling clinicians.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and vital signs to detect abnormalities and respond
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and aids physicians during cardiac-related procedures and exams
• Maintains patient comfort and safety during telemetry care
• Observes patient conditions and communicates status to supervisors or physicians
• Performs life-saving interventions per cardiac protocols
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and lifestyle changes
• Collaborates with the care team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality
• Performs other duties within scope of practice
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
