Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Hermitage, Tennessee. The assignment is 13 weeks long with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour day shifts.

The RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced PCU, perform procedures, monitor patients, document in Meditech, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. BLS and ACLS are required, as are cardiac drips, insulin drips, and peripheral IV skills.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips is essential.
• Peripheral IV skills and post-cardiac care experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to PCU patients, including cardiac and stroke care.
• Perform essential procedures such as peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and central line dressing changes.
• Conduct hourly rounding on days and every 2 hours at night to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain thorough documentation via the Meditech system.
• Utilize and troubleshoot medical equipment including bipaps, high flow oxygen, and wound vacs.
