Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina. This PCU RN role involves 13 weeks of travel work, 36 hours per week, nights, with ACLS, BLS, NIH and 1 year of acute care experience preferred.

As a PCU Travel Nurse you will monitor patients requiring close observation and frequent assessment, manage IV meds, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required; NIH may be required
• 1 year of recent acute care experience required
• PCU/step-down nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Monitor and titrate IV medications and manage IV lines.
• Use monitors to interpret vital signs and detect deterioration.
• Document patient status and interventions.
• Collaborate with care team for patient transitions and safety.
