Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU – Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week travel assignment in Goldsboro, NC. You will provide specialized stepdown care on a 12-hour night shift, delivering cardio-centric assessments, meds, and interventions while collaborating with the care team.

The position requires 1 year of stepdown RN experience, valid RN license, and current BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care.
