Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Youngstown, Ohio. This travel assignment includes 12-hour night shifts, a 48-hour workweek, and a 13-week duration, with private housing or a housing allowance and comprehensive benefits.

The role requires BLS certification, ACLS (CIRH only), and involves delivering high-quality care, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting patient safety and discharge planning.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, develops individualized care plans, and provides patient education.
• Participates in patient rehabilitation programs and monitors patient progress, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Initiates discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicates effectively with team members to support continuity of care and patient safety.
• Delegates tasks appropriately, supervises ancillary staff, and maintains environmental safety.
• Assumes charge responsibility after orientation, identifies professional development needs, and engages in ongoing education.
