Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Charlottesville, VA. The role involves telemetry monitoring, cardiac-focused care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

Required: 1 year Stepdown RN experience, Virginia RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred PCCN or NIHSS certifications may be required for certain cases.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and vitals; responds to abnormalities.
• Administers medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Documents patient status and notifies physicians of changes.
• Responds to life-saving situations per hospital protocols.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and lifestyle factors.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Performs other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
