Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN to staff the PCU - Progressive Care Unit in Kearney, Nebraska for a 13-week assignment. Start date 11/23/2026, 48 hours per week, 12-hour nights.

As a Stepdown RN, you will monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in good standing per state regulations.
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required.
• ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry data and cardiac rhythms, interpreting results and acting on abnormalities.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures.
• Monitor telemetry patients for comfort and safety and document findings.
• Respond to life-saving emergencies per hospital policies and protocols.
• Document nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Educate patients on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety guidelines.
