Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina. The PCU RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

We are looking for 1-2 years of acute care experience with PCU/step-down exposure. ACLS and BLS certifications are required; NIH may be required prior to assignment. Shifts are 12 hours (nights), 48 hours per week, for 13 weeks with travel benefits provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• PCU/step-down/Cardiac unit experience preferred.
• ACLS/BLS required; NIH may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret monitoring equipment and electronic displays.
