Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions seeks PCU Travel Registered Nurses for a 13-week assignment in Tucson or Phoenix, AZ. You will provide high-quality PCU care, collaborating with physicians and care teams in a travel nursing contract.

Locations include Tucson or Phoenix with day or night shifts. Candidates must have PCU experience, AZ eligibility, and BLS/ACLS as required. Travel and housing stipends may be provided through the assignment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license or eligibility for Arizona practice.
• Experience in PCU, progressive care, step-down, or similar acute care.
• BLS certificate current.
• ACLS certification as required by the facility.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients requiring progressive/intermediate care.
• Vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and status changes monitoring.
• Administer medications per orders and protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient status changes promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care plans.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and care needs.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and facility policies.
• Provide compassionate, professional care and support patient experience.

Position Overview

As a PCU Travel Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals who require close monitoring and specialized nursing interventions. You will collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and fellow nurses to promote positive patient outcomes in a progressive care setting.

Locations: Tucson, Arizona, or Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Shifts: Day shift or night shift

Key Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and care for patients requiring progressive or intermediate-level care.

Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient conditions.

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and facility protocols.

Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and thoroughly.

Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and ongoing care needs.

Maintain compliance with patient safety standards, infection prevention practices, and facility policies.

Provide compassionate, professional care while supporting a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Arizona.

Previous PCU, progressive care, step-down, or comparable acute care nursing experience.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, as required by the facility.

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and time-management skills.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Willingness to travel to and complete a 13-week assignment in Tucson or Phoenix, Arizona.
